ANSI (American National Standard Institute 美国国家标准协会)
Founded in 1918, ANSI has served in its capacity as administrator and coordinator of the United Statesprivate sector voluntary standardization system. ANSI promotes the use of U.S. standards internationally, advocates
U.S. policy and technical positions in international and regional standards organizations and encouragesthe adoption of internal standards as national standards where these meet the needs of the user community.
ANSI does not itself develop American National Standards; rather it facilitates development by establishingconsensus among the ANSI member associations such as ASTM, SAE, ASME, etc.

DIN (German Engineering Society or Deutsches Institut fur Normung 德国工程师协会)
DIN is a registered association with its main office in Berlin. It is not a government agency. DIN serves asthe round table around which gather representatives for the manufacturing industries, consumer industries,consumer organizations, commerce, service industries, science or anyone with an interest in standardizationin order to determine the state of the art and to record it in the form of German standards. DIN standards aretechnical rules that promote rationalization, quality assurance, safety and environmental protection as well asimproving communication between industry, technology, science, government and the public. In DIN, some40,500 external experts serving as voluntary delegates in some 4400 committees carry out standards work.Published standards are reviewed for continuing relevance at least every five years.
